Friends of Vermillion Community, Inc. Fund

Specific Need

Special fundraising goals:  Cleaning up Vermillion - abandoned properties and vehicles, and trash-both of which are environmental and health issues for Vermillion.

Mission

Friends of Vermillion is a non-profit organization that has initiated and supported over $30,000 in projects over ten years.  Monies are generated by both donations and fund-raising.  Vermillion recently celebrated 150 years as a town and that celebration over Memorial Day Weekend was well-attended by surrounding towns.

All projects are in keeping with our Mission Statement:  To assist in the preservation, maintenance, and beautification of Vermillion community historic sites such as the railroad depot, library, school, city monuments, parks, and related environs.  It is also the mission of the corporation to support and assist in further research and scholarship of Vermillion community historic sites and the role such sites played in the development of the community.
